Hotel Olathang is one of the best hotels in the country. Built in 1974 for guests invited to the coronation of His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuk, it is Bhutan’s largest hotel. It has 30 rooms including 6 suits in the main building and 32 cottages scattered throughout the gardens. Sitting atop a hill overlooking the beautiful Paro Valley, it covers 45 acres of wooded land. Chinese, Indian and Bhutanese meals are served in the restaurant. There is a bar that serves a selection of Bhutanese drinks.
